Although I can remember when they were a rarity, the white tail deer are abundant in our area of southern Indiana. The "stag", or "buck", is favored by hunters and wildlife artist as a painting subject. I'm no exception to this especially sense I use one as my logo, and being a Buck myself. Of course, to paint one in the WPA technique, I had to use "Jim Beam "Red Stag" Bourbon Whiskey as the vehicle with watercolors paints.
